OK, I give you a 10 as your flashes stand out highly above anything else on this site from a technical point of view. But honestly, when I watched the video without sound (and thus without a narrator), I actually liked it better. It's a nice voice, but I felt like watching a commercial for Yet Another Extreme Episode of National Geographics. The kind where the voice is repeating what's happening on the screen in an overdramatic way without telling much story actually. I know that's not completely the case, but that's how it felt.

I Don't say you have to drop the whole narrator thing, but somehow the atmosphere of the flash doesn't feel as right for me as it did in Waterlollies.

But that didn't stop me truly enjoying your work.

It's a cool sketch book, you have good drawings, the idea of flipping through it like a real book I liked, and I LOL'd with the Sabtastic @Deviantart and Sabtastic @Newgrounds icons.

History, a ten for sure. This video rocks on that part, and I appreciate good content.

Animation, a 6. Well, it was meant for history class, so that's not even bad. The drawings are pretty good, I like your style. The movements, well... you know.

So that gives an A for history, and an 8 for newgrounds.

Animation is nicely done, a bit basic but enjoyable to watch. I'd give you a 7, but the cause is right.

@chaos-ad : no space here to discuss the climate problem, but I suppose you should read a bit more on the topic. CO2 is indeed good for the plants, but there's more to the earth than that. Interesting topics are : combustion toxicity, physics of warmth, meteorology 101, el Nino and la Nina, worldwide reduction of ice surface,...

Some basic economy wouldn't hurt either. As to realize how a one-way stream inevitably has to stop one day, and how innovation has always been the key to evolution. Hydrogen works, so why not?

"Aaightie"

Have to admit, I wasn't really a fan of the current upgrade system, and the rank thing looked weird to. But it all fell into place suddenly. The slow upgrades in ranking let you enjoy the game completely. You learn to work with every level. All upgrades in the beginning just wouldn't be that much fun. You get them all eventually.

But once you get there, WoW. The game is absolutely balanced, and gives you enough tricks to adapt your defence to all the tracks. With the right combination and timing of upgrades (don't forget the farm, as early as possible!) you can survive the hard modes. But you can't make mistakes.

It's not that difficult to get to level 31 by the way. Play some levels on hard, or keep on playing after a round finished. It goes rather quick, and once you're playing around with the sungod, bloons have no place to hide anymore :-) Just had an inferno, and I'll be back for more.

This reminded me again what the "5" button is for. You surely raised the standards of Newgrounds. I'm hooked, and I guess everybody else who watches this.

I admire these series. It's incredible how such simple yet superneat drawings can tell such fluent and hilarious stories. You are a genius with the medium! Hooray for the music as well, that's a lot of variations on the same few polkas :-).

One thing that would make this absolutely perfect, is adjusting the shadow on the pen when it moves. Making the light always come from the same direction, if that makes sense to you. Now it still looks like a pic moving over the screen. Keeping the sense of the direction of the light, would make it more "real". If you're really daring, you can try to find a way to construct the texture of the paper in the same sense too.

But those things are really the most minor detail, this animation is perfect in every sense.

"Finish it up, please"

I give you no stars, as you said yourself this is a test. And it is a good test. Controls are easy to use (once you find them...). Maybe add the arrow keys too as possible controls.

Graphics are good, and no lagging for me. Don't know what the vampire thing is for. I'd say that you could suck out life of your enemies, but that's not the case alas. It's also quite strange that both life bars (normal and vampire) are not linked. When the vampire is almost empty, the normal one is still full. Can be useful for strategy, but then the levels should be made accordingly (so you have to decide wisely when to use the vampire thing)

I don't agree with soupflavoredsoup. Jumping 4 times on an enemy to destroy is much, but not too much. You might think about giving yor enemies different resistance, and show a life bar for them too.

Overall, good start. I'm looking forward to the finished game.

I have that 1337 leet score too. You funny...

Game is simple and funny, nicely executed with a minimum of effort. Well worth a 7, but I keep higher scores in general for games that have a bit more playtime.
