I knew the parable already, and I love it. What you did with it is incredibely nice made and very powerful. I truly enjoyed it, both the way how it's told and the animation you made of it. You have an interesting and very nice style. The music fits great too.

If I'd change somethin, I'd drop the lesson at the end. You have a good heart and I know you want to help people, but sometimes it works better to let people ponder about things for themselves. Let them exercise the brain a bit ;-).

My deepest respect

That is a good idea.. perhaps the next bunch will omit the discussion ^^

meh

OK, the animation is darn well done. Good points on you for that.

But I fail to see what's funny. I'm probably not american enough, or not pokemoned enough to get a laugh out of this, but the whole (lack of a) storyline reminded me a bit about the senseless random rambling of kids when they start making up jokes. A bit pointless, and definitely not up to the standard you set here with earlier submissions.

Sorry, I didn't laugh. I even didn't smile. Maybe I'm getting too old for this...

Aaight!

That's a 5000 years well spent I'd say. It's so darn stupid I lolled.

Oh yeah, usefulness. Almost forgot:

Although the animation is rather rudimental, it's flawless and smoothly carried out. The storyline is very concise, yet shows great wit. The voice acting deserves a full ten stars, you grabbed the emotions of that sweet piece of nature perfectly well. The lack of a soundtrack or any other music doesn't bother, in contrary. The whole animation is very balanced, adding music would just kill the mood. Overall, a little gem on Newgrounds. And kudos for the easter egg.

So, that's taken care of. Now where's that 'add author to favorites' button?

You succeeded in irritating me

But then again, so did the rest of the internet. Funny way of making a point, but the animation is slick.

"I will return momentarily"

EPIC WIN! Well done sir.

If you try to be random, at least be original

instead of copying the kids of yesteryear...

Lol fag!

Nice start

I liked the little movie. The animation is very basic, but you use what you can in a smart way. Two remarks : the end scene was a bit long, and I didn't manage to read the complete text about the artifact, it went away too quickly.

savage011 responds:

alright thanks for the feedback, i was afraid of the ending being too long

lol

This is the best, really! oh boy, you topped yourself with that one.

mmmaaahh...

OK, I give you a 10 as your flashes stand out highly above anything else on this site from a technical point of view. But honestly, when I watched the video without sound (and thus without a narrator), I actually liked it better. It's a nice voice, but I felt like watching a commercial for Yet Another Extreme Episode of National Geographics. The kind where the voice is repeating what's happening on the screen in an overdramatic way without telling much story actually. I know that's not completely the case, but that's how it felt.

I Don't say you have to drop the whole narrator thing, but somehow the atmosphere of the flash doesn't feel as right for me as it did in Waterlollies.

But that didn't stop me truly enjoying your work.

Vewwwy nice

History, a ten for sure. This video rocks on that part, and I appreciate good content.

Animation, a 6. Well, it was meant for history class, so that's not even bad. The drawings are pretty good, I like your style. The movements, well... you know.

So that gives an A for history, and an 8 for newgrounds.
