Absolutely stunningly great!

OK, after 7 hours of playtime I got the secret newgrounds treasure, been more than halfway through the map earning gold medals, and can seriously say that this game rocks! It's addictive, gameplay is nice, graphics ain't bad. To get to the higher levels, you definitely need to get your brains working, you can't mindlessly spawn goblins.

Some tips :
- Updating the Element is only necessary later in the game, when you need a lot of mana
- upgrade path and raid infamy asap, it will help you get the other updates faster.
- Towers give increasingly more damage, so it's best to use the health spell in the first waves, and blocking the towers in the later waves.
- fast-forward by pressing the spacebar until you have enough mana to do the next trick. Otherwise gameplay can be very long...
- Turtles last longer if you don't put them first. They take all the hits, so you might spread some to preceding figures. Otherwise they won't last longer than one wave, and you'll miss them...
-Look at the towertypes. When you have not much arrowtowers, there is actually no need for turtles whatsoever
-It doesn't pay off to put too much protection, as you'll have less goblins. It's better to get the medal in 3 waves than in 4, so balance between special figures and goblins.
- if you have enough mana, it's actually smarter to stun the bog towers than to use cleanse warwocks
-...

Boy, there's so much in the game. Well done! And now I'm going to unlock the last level of the game.

mediocre at best

Nothing interesting actually, but some mindless physics fun for a bit.

But this thing is buggy : sometimes the bees get stuck between the flowers, sometimes they get stuck on top of a color changer. But the most annoying thing is that when you click "try again", you shoot a bee already.

Mastery of game making

This game is an outright 10 for me. I loved Epic war II (never got used to 3), but this one really rocks the boat. Balanced, carefully thought out, graphic work is smooth and the game runs nicely, only after a few hours of playing it starts lagging. But that's rather Windoze than anything else.

The characters are great, and powers and weaknesses are evenly spread over all. One really has to chose carefully which ones to use where, there is no best choice for all stages.

My few points of critique are about the game control. It's chosen well and generally works smoothly, but getting the spells work or placing the units is a bit tricky. You have to click carefully, as it doesn't work if you click too high or too low. Units also start moving without being asked. This is sometimes a nice thing, but can be very surprising. Hold ground should indeed be an option, as somebody else mentioned.

For all complaining the game is too hard, it is hard, kind of. You have to check carefully which unit can resist what, and which kind of attack they have. For some stages you need smart tricks with the spells, but everything is doable. For those complaining it's too easy, play on a bit, try hard and epic mode and see you make it through the game. I wish you good luck.

Great artwork

It's a cool sketch book, you have good drawings, the idea of flipping through it like a real book I liked, and I LOL'd with the Sabtastic @Deviantart and Sabtastic @Newgrounds icons.

You know already the links don't work. Too bad. But a great piece of art nevertheless.

Aaightie

Have to admit, I wasn't really a fan of the current upgrade system, and the rank thing looked weird to. But it all fell into place suddenly. The slow upgrades in ranking let you enjoy the game completely. You learn to work with every level. All upgrades in the beginning just wouldn't be that much fun. You get them all eventually.

But once you get there, WoW. The game is absolutely balanced, and gives you enough tricks to adapt your defence to all the tracks. With the right combination and timing of upgrades (don't forget the farm, as early as possible!) you can survive the hard modes. But you can't make mistakes.

It's not that difficult to get to level 31 by the way. Play some levels on hard, or keep on playing after a round finished. It goes rather quick, and once you're playing around with the sungod, bloons have no place to hide anymore :-) Just had an inferno, and I'll be back for more.

What's with the score?

I have that 1337 leet score too. You funny...

Game is simple and funny, nicely executed with a minimum of effort. Well worth a 7, but I keep higher scores in general for games that have a bit more playtime.

Fun game

Quite a nice game, loved the funny way of launching, and the trick with the comrades. Nice twist of gravity :-) Also other upgrades were inventive and fun. Gameplay is fluent, graphics are nice.

I agree though that it is too easy. First you get nowhere, and then suddenly you're on mars? I got there in 12 days first time I played it.

Therefor, a 9.

quite nice

The game is not bad. It's a basic platformer, and the art looks appealing to me. Yet, the response was pretty slow, making it a rather dull game at times. You might want to work on that.

Walkthrough?

That was about the funniest joke of the game :-) Seriously, it's not difficult at all, maybe sometimes a bit too easy. But the game runs smooth, and is a little diamond that keeps you busy for 15 minutes

I really loved the art too, and all movements were fluently natural.

It's maybe a bit short, but that keeps it from getting boring I guess.
So :
5/5, 9/10

Great game

Looks like a simple game, and pretty easy to beat actually, but beautifully done. But the defence part and the upgrades kept me playing. I played it out in one time, spent 2 hours on it, and that means it's good.

Love the nice twist with the different beast eating stuff too! Fun to watch and fun to play.
