The lung volume starts rising again when the whale stays at 500 m depth, that's not physiologically correct imho. It would be nice to add the lungs themselves to the whale as well, so you can show them being pressed together by the water pressure on the body. Or add a balloon, you can easily model it's volume in function of the depth. That illustrates nicely what goes on. It's nice to add weights as well, symbolizing the pressureby the water column.

Do something about your screen size

Part of the game is unvisible due to the wrong screen size settings.

Very good

OK, I stumbled on this a bit late, as the game is more than two years old by now. The new one (Gemcraft Labyrinth) beats this one any time. Still, it is a very nice defence game, and a great precedessor to what is in my eyes the best tower defence game on the net. I've played a few rounds and enjoyed it, but I guess I'm more for the new one. It just offers quite a lot more, both in graphics and in gameplay. In this Gemcraft 0, you get random gems. In gemcraft 1, you can choose them and that makes a difference. Still, the random effect can be nice (and surprising), and Gemcraft 0 has more story to it than its follow-up game. A matter of taste if you ask me.

Best tower defense game I've played to date

And I did a few... The sheer amount of different tasks, goals and challenges alone is enough to keep me hooked for weeks. It's not just 'survive all the waves', there's also tons of alumets to gain, each giving you another benefit. There's challenges that unlock hidden levels, and there's enough incentive to go back to each level and improve your high score. Ask for more monsters, different monsters, more waves or play endurance.

But that's not what makes the game so unique. It's the gameplay. Different gems have different powers, and the combinations are almost endless. At each level you have to figure out what works best. Going for only one gem or one trick doesn't work in this game, unlike most other games I've played.

The graphics improved tremendously compared to earlier versions, and I didn't experience any lag, even with a screen loaded with enemies. The engine is working as it should and even better. Smooth like butter...

One downside : if you open up the game, make sure you don't have anything to do that day. I've been playing for 8 hours straight.

All in all, superb game, and the first one where I actually bought the Premium edition. Those were 5 bucks spent very well! The extras are definitely worth it, and even if they wouldn't be, the creators of this game deserve the extra cash.

Cheers!

pretty fun

But the rage charged punch will always get you hit in the face. First round, shoot for the boob. Second round and third round, punch the face. The beating of the guy comes at regular intervals, so it's rather easy to get through it without getting hit once. Pretty lame to play, but funny nevertheless

had to reach a deadline.... today

Cool game, but there are some glitches

In the upgrades, you can sometimes keep on clicking a button without anything happening. Enough money, not maxed, but no messages and no upgrades. When I was 2/3 through the game, the music kept playing and the ship kept shooting, but I was not advancing anything any more, nor were there new enemies coming.

Apart from that, cool game! You might want to think about some way to speed up the first part when you have many upgrades though. I can just leave the ship in the middle and wait.

Not on chrome

It simple doesn't work on chrome. Tried on firefox and got a basic game. But on chrome the keyboard control doesn't work.

Wonderful

It's for one a beautiful game, your artwork is really nice. Next, the gameplay is very good for a seek-the-differences game. I love the double pointer. The differences are of the right difficulty, and nicely spread over the picture. One minuspoint : the fullscreen view of the gallery doesn't work on Chrome. But all in all, a great game!

Pretty OK

Pretty OK basic shooter with nice graphics. But for some reason the spacebar control doesn't work when using chrome. I had to come to firefox to play the game. This is something I noticed pretty often on Newgrounds actually. Please go and look at the methods you used, and find information on how to make them work on chrome. Jollesax. Thanx for the comments. You are correct. There is an issue with chrome. I haven't tracked down exactly what is happening yet, but chrome is the culprit I believe. It seems to be machine specific. The space bar control works on some computers running chrome but not others. It doesn't seem to be OS specific either. I'll repost when I solve the "chrome" issue.

Doesn't work under chrome

Game doesn't work on chrome, there is no control possible.

BlackCrossGames responds:
